Top 3 responsibilities

Design, develop, implement new automated assembly systems and equipment; program and troubleshoot OMRON PLCs

Support new model launches (quoting, equipment design, production transition) and provide hands-on process improvements

Create/maintain documentation (work instructions, manuals), track project progress, budgets, and deliverables; collaborate cross-functionally
Must-have skills

1+ year experience in automation engineering, systems integration, or controls design

Proficiency with OMRON PLCs; knowledge of automation design, robotics, and electrical systems

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and Microsoft Office skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
Nice-to-haves

Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, or related field

1+ years of experience in automation engineering, systems integration, or controls design Experience programming OMRON PLCs required Working knowledge of automation design, robotics, and electrical systems Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a project-driven environment Nice to Haves
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) Familiarity with SolidWorks or similar 3D design software Proficiency with Oracle-based applications Experience with injection molding or automotive manufacturing Exposure to assembly automation, robotics, or fixture design Understanding of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement principles Prior involvement with ISO/TS quality systems Responsibilities
Design, develop, and implement new automated assembly systems and equipment Program, test, and troubleshoot OMRON PLCs for automation and assembly processes Support new model launches, including quoting, equipment design, and production transition Develop and evaluate cost-justification proposals for new or improved equipment Create and maintain work instructions, machine manuals, and system documentation Provide technical support for automation equipment and assist with mass-production process improvements Conduct design reviews, verify machine functionality, and ensure reliability of automation systems Support layout design of automated work cells and assembly lines Track project progress, budgets, and deliverables; prepare reports and capital proposals for management review Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance productivity, efficiency, and safety Provide hands-on assistance in training, troubleshooting, and process refinement Maintain compliance with internal quality and safety systems (ISO/TS standards) Occasional travel for vendor visits, training, or equipment installations
