Your Role And Responsibilities

As a SDET at IBM, your technical skills will directly impact the quality of the software we create, and your recommendations and findings will help us make sure we're delivering the best of the best. Whether the testing is manual, automated, or cognitive, you hold a key role in releasing the best deliverables to our clients and IBM alike. In your role you may be responsible for

Building automated tests using tools such as Selenium, Protractor, Katalon, Cucumber, etc. Create test data and test environments Write and execute test scripts under the direction of a senior tester and test lead and identify errors and validate successes for any software solution Identify, understand, and document all programming errors and operational characteristics that are inconsistent with stated requirements and design specification goals for the given program, application or set of applications Do a deep-dive and present test results to clients and project teams clearly

Required Technical And Professional Expertise

Hands-on experience in UI automation using Playwright (TypeScript) and Selenium (Java). Strong expertise in designing automation frameworks, modular architecture, and reusable test components. Solid understanding of code quality metrics, static code analysis, and test coverage reporting. In-depth knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Skilled in troubleshooting, debugging, and maintaining automated scripts in dynamic environments. Proficient in API automation using Postman and Java/TypeScript-based frameworks. Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and testing practices.

Preferred Technical And Professional Experience

Preferred experience: knowledgeable on design, creation and execution of functional and/or non-functional test cases; experience with tool (or similar tools) such as: Confluence, JIRA, Selenium, Test Data Management Tools, Performance Testing Tools

Exposure to at least one cloud platform such as AWS, Azure, IBM, or Google Cloud

Familiarity with data quality analysis, and testing skills in API, ETL and SQL

Exposure to basic data science concepts
