Salary: $39 / hour
Role & seniority: NDT Inspector (mid-level; position suitable for experienced technicians)
Stack/tools: Non-destructive testing methods (ultrasonic UT, radiography RT, liquid penetrant LP, magnetic particle MT, eddy current, etc.); conventional and automated inspection equipment; calibration and process-control checks; job-specific software
Perform NDT inspections on components using multiple methods per procedures
Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results per code requirements and procedures
Load components with lifting/fixturing, calibrate/maintain NDT equipment, and maintain detailed records
High School Diploma or GED
NDT training/experience: ATDM NDT program, or an approved NDT program from a trade school/college, or minimum 3 years as an NDT inspector (UT/RT/LP preferred)
Ability to learn company-specific software; meet WorkKeys standards
US Citizenship; ability to obtain/maintain DOE clearance
Additional NDT methods experience; familiarity with codes and operating procedures
Prior experience in nuclear or defense manufacturing environments

Your Day To Day As An NDT Inspector
Perform NDT inspections using various methods (ultrasonic, radiographic, liquid penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy current, etc.) on components utilizing conventional and automated inspection equipment. Perform loading of components using lifting and handling equipment and fixturing. Perform calibration, inspection, and process control checks on NDT equipment. Interpret, evaluate, and document inspection results in accordance with code requirments and operating procedures. Maintain detailed and accurate records, logs, and documentation related to all work. Performs other related tasks as assigned by supervisors or management.

The starting rate for this position in Virginia (US-VA) is $38.56 per hour. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, retirement and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment and are subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
