Stack/tools: Quality Management System (QMS), Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), PFMEA, control plans (CP), statistical process control (SPC), supplier audits, SOP/WI templates; data analysis for supplier performance
Lead supplier qualification and audits, using risk-based approaches; represent QA in supplier selection and ongoing management
Drive part qualification and APQP activities; link customer requirements to the supply base; support Zero Defect initiatives
Lead supplier corrective actions, analyze data trends, and develop supplier risk-based development and auditing plans; influence engineering and manufacturing processes
Bachelor’s degree and ~2+ years related experience (or equivalent)
Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality systems
Experience with PPAP, APQP, PFMEA, CP, SPC; ability to perform audits and lead supplier quality activities
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration; willingness to travel as needed
Optional: ASQ certification (CQE, CQA, CMQOE) preferred
Specific experience with electrical assemblies or related manufacturing technologies
Deep experience shaping supplier quality strategies and mentoring other engineers
Familiarity with SOP/WI development and standard work improvements

Purpose Statement: The Supplier Quality Engineer II is responsible to drive the organization's Zero Defect Strategy and continual improvement into the supply base for both compliance and risk mitigation within operations. This role will represent the supplier quality function to customers, external auditors, and internal teams for all incoming raw material and services. Supplier Quality is a key technical and indirect leadership function that will apply fundamentals of quality in order to influence suppliers in meeting or exceeding expectations.
