Role & seniority: QA Engineer / Test Lead (mid-to-senior level) in Nordic TV & Streaming; potential for progression within QA; bachelor’s or higher preferred, alternative strong QA experience accepted.
Stack/tools: Jira for test management; testing across Set-Top Boxes, tablets, Apple/Apple TV, Android, Web; backend testing (functions, business logic, order flows); automation scripts and tools; collaboration with product, UX, operations, and external suppliers.
Plan, design, and execute functional and non-functional tests; develop/maintain test scenarios and automation scripts.
Verify requirements, manage test cases/issues in Jira, document results, report defects, and retest fixes.
Perform risk assessments prior to releases, assist with incident/problem analysis, and support squads in QA planning; contribute to team-wide QA practices.
Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent relevant experience; strong testing background (tester or test lead) with cross-team collaboration.
Knowledge of IT/service platform architecture; ability to produce documentation, interface descriptions, requirements, and sequence diagrams.
Strong English written and spoken communication.
AI-assisted automated testing experience; programming background; knowledge of IT security; familiarity with TV/streaming tech; experience with client apps and home network tech.

A Bit About Us Telenor Nordics is consolidating the TV service and creating a unified Nordic customer experience, with seamless access across TV boxes and mobile platforms. Telenor TV is one of the largest entertainment services in Norway and the Nordics, offering a wide range of features and connecting to numerous content providers, including Netflix, HBO, Viaplay, Apple TV, YouTube, TV2, and NRK. The service is central to Telenor’s digital strategy in the Nordics and is continuously evolving to provide reliable streaming experiences for millions of users. How We Work You will join the Nordic TV & Streaming department, part of a TV tribe that works across all parts of Telenor involved in delivering TV services. The team includes colleagues from product, development, UX, operations, and external suppliers. Work is done in an agile environment, with collaboration focused on testing and improving TV and streaming systems. Clear processes and reliable delivery are priorities, with each team member contributing to the team’s work. What you will do You will plan, design, and execute functional and non-functional tests and develop and maintain test scenarios, automation scripts, and tools. Responsibilities include verifying requirements, managing cases and issues in Jira, and testing clients such as Set‑Top Boxes, tablets, Apple, Apple TV, Android, and Web. You will also test backend systems, covering functions, business logic and order flows.
