Salary: $43 - $48 / hour
Role & seniority: QA Tester / Development Engineer in Test (mid-level). 3–5 years mobile testing; 3+ years building/maintaining test automation.
Stack/tools: Appium (cross-platform), XCUI (iOS), Espresso (Android); Java; JIRA/Zephyr or similar; CI/CD familiarity; mobile dev lifecycle knowledge; defect tracking; collaboration with distributed teams.
Design, develop, and maintain automated mobile test suites (iOS/Android) and create comprehensive test plans (functional, regression, smoke).
Execute manual and automated tests, perform post-deployment validation, and conduct regression testing; document defects with reproduction steps and severity.
Collaborate across teams to define acceptance criteria, lead stand-ups, participate in refinements, and contribute to process and test coverage improvements.
Strong Java coding experience; hands-on mobile automation with XCUI and/or Espresso.
Experience building/maintaining test automation frameworks; defect tracking tools (JIRA/Zephyr); understanding of mobile lifecycles; basic CI/CD/DevOps familiarity.
Ability to manage multiple testing efforts across distributed teams; solid analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
Kotlin and/or Swift; experience with Github Copilot/Cursor; MCP server familiarity; security testing, data compliance; experience in financial services/trading platforms; Agile/Scrum familiarity.

Education & Experience BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience) 3-5 years of experience in mobile application testing (iOS and/or Android) 3+ years building and maintaining test automation frameworks Proven experience developing, executing, and maintaining automated test scripts Technical Skills Strong hands-on coding experience with Java or other object-oriented programming languages
Experience with mobile automation tools: XCUI (iOS) and/or Espresso (Android) Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (JIRA, Zephyr, or similar) Solid understanding of mobile development lifecycles on iOS and/or Android platforms Working knowledge of CI/CD practices and DevOps methodologies Soft Skills & Abilities Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent testing efforts across geographically distributed teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail Excellent communication skills with ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams Self-motivated with ability to work independently and in team environments
