Join our software testing team to create solutions that adhere to international standards, specifically the European Train Control System (ETCS) and additional features for the Siemens Trainguard platform.
Key Responsibilities
Requirement Analysis: Analyze software requirements and develop test approaches that map to test scenarios.
Test Scenario Development: Work on software requirements grouped by features or change requests to specify, realize, and integrate test scenarios.
Test Case Design: Design and implement test cases in C++ to support software validation and ensure operational suitability of ETCS requirements.
Collaboration: Collaborate with international teams and participate in an agile development environment (SCRUM).
Effort Estimation: Estimate the effort required for integrating features and changes into existing test groups and test cases.
Impact Analysis: Analyze the impact of changes in the test environment, failing test cases, and implementation changes.
Alignment: Coordinate with the software validator to ensure comprehensive test coverage.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, natural science, engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Several years of experience in software development, test management, or software validation.
System Analysis: Proficient in analyzing and assessing system/software requirements in safety-related systems (SIL4).
Certifications: ISTQB Basic or Advanced Level certification is highly recommended.
Knowledge: Fundamental knowledge of ETCS, European Railway Agency (ERA) standards, or other ATP systems (e.g., LZB, PZB) is desirable.
Agile Methods: Practical experience with agile development methods (SCRUM, Kanban).
Testing Methods: Practical experience with component and integration test methods (e.g., Functional and Black-Box Testing, Equivalence Classes, and Input Partition Testing).
Tools and Languages: Familiarity with tools like DOORS, Visual Studio, and programming languages such as C++ and scripting languages (Perl, Python) is beneficial.
Language Skills: Very good English skills are required; German skills are an advantage.
