Top 3 responsibilities

  1. Lead integration testing across internal/external apps; design and execute API test strategies; validate cloud/on-prem integrations

  2. Plan, perform, and analyze performance tests for cloud-based apps; identify bottlenecks and provide actionable recommendations

  3. Mentor test engineers; collaborate with Dev, DevOps, and Product to define integration points, benchmarks, and report progress/risks

Must-have skills

  • Automotive/vehicle motors domain experience

  • API testing expertise (REST/SOAP) with Postman, SoapUI or equivalent

  • Hands-on cloud testing on AWS and GCP; familiarity with AWS components and Confluent Kafka

  • Performance testing with JMeter, k6, Gatling; experience with Grafana

  • Test automation frameworks; scripting in Java or Python; understanding CI/CD and DevOps

Full Description

Job Title: QA Test Lead

Location: (Lewisville, TX or Renton, WA) Fulltime

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead integration testing involving internal and external applications, ensuring seamless interaction and data flow.

  • Develop and execute API testing strategies for RESTful and SOAP services using industry-standard tools.

  • Design test cases to validate integrations with AWS and Google cloud services, Confluent Kafka, and On Prem SQL Servers.

  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams to define integration points and performance benchmarks.

  • Plan and perform performance testing on cloud-based applications leveraging AWS and Google Cloud components.

  • Utilize performance testing tools (LoadRunner, Postman) for load, stress, and endurance testing.

  • Analyze performance test results to identify bottlenecks and provide actionable recommendations.

  • Ensure test environments replicate production architectures, including cloud infrastructure configurations.

  • Mentor and lead test engineers on best practices in integration, API, and cloud performance testing.

  • Report testing progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders clearly and timely.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in integration and performance testing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

  • Need Automotive/Vehicle Motors Experience is Mandatory and trong expertise in API testing (REST, SOAP) with tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar.

  • Hands-on experience testing cloud solutions on AWS and Google Cloud Platform.

  • Familiarity with AWS components, Confluent Kafka, GCP components.

  • Proficient with performance testing tools like JMeter, k6, Gatling, Grafana

  • Experience with test automation frameworks and scripting languages (Java, Python).

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).

  • Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, ISTQB.

  • Experience with SaaS or cloud-native application testing.
