We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our dynamic quality assurance team. The ideal candidate will have 5 - 8 years of experience in test automation, with a strong focus on Cypress, JavaScript, and Playwright.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain advanced test automation frameworks using Cypress, Playwright, and JavaScript. Implement best practices in test architecture to ensure scalability, maintainability, and efficiency of test suites. Utilize Playwright's multi-browser capabilities to ensure consistent application performance across different browsers and platforms. Implement strategies for testing responsive designs and mobile compatibility. Develop and execute API tests using tools like Supertest, Frisby, Postman and integrate them into the overall test automation strategy. Ensure seamless integration between UI and API test layers. Integrate test automation into CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and reliable software delivery. Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize test execution in cloud environments. Develop strategies for efficient test data generation and management. Implement data-driven testing approaches to increase test coverage and efficiency. Mentor junior team members in test automation best practices and emerging technologies. Conduct regular knowledge-sharing sessions and contribute to the team's technical blog. Develop and maintain dashboards for test coverage, execution results, and other key quality metrics. Provide regular reports on test automation effectiveness and areas for improvement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 4-8 years of experience in software testing and test automation. Strong proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript. Expert-level knowledge of Cypress and Playwright test automation frameworks. Solid understanding of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies. Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for test execution. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
