Role & seniority: Lead Quality Engineer – Automation (first QA/QE hire in India)
Stack/tools: Web/API test automation (Selenium, PyTest, Cypress, Playwright or equivalents); CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps); cloud (AWS/Azure/GCP); databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB); API testing (Postman, REST Assured); programming (Python, Java, or JavaScript)
Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing
Build scalable, maintainable test automation frameworks; integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines
Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams; validate test data across SQL/NoSQL; perform API testing
5+ years in test automation for web, API, or cloud-based systems
Proficiency in Python/Java/JavaScript; experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
Strong SQL skills and knowledge of NoSQL databases; hands-on with CI/CD and Git
Solid software testing principles, QA methodologies, SDLC; strong analytical/problem-solving and communication
Reliable internet; ability to work remotely aligned to EST
