We’re looking for a seasoned Technical Tester to join our client’s high-performing delivery team. You will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the quality of complex systems, driving improvements in QA processes, and acting as a trusted partner to product and development stakeholders.
The Role
As a Technical Tester, you will take ownership of the end-to-end testing lifecycle across multiple environments (Test and Acceptance), ensuring both functional and non-functional requirements are clear, feasible, and thoroughly validated. You will operate across manual and automated testing initiatives, with a strong focus on database and API testing, while contributing to process enhancement and quality reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, challenge, and refine functional and non-functional requirements Design and lead structured test plans covering Sanity, Smoke, Integration, Regression, and End-to-End testing Manage the complete defect lifecycle, ensuring accurate documentation, prioritization, and follow-up Perform advanced database testing using SQL Server or Oracle (queries, stored procedures, PL/SQL validation) Validate and manage data workflows using XML and JSON inputs from source systems Lead API testing initiatives (REST & SOAP), including authentication and error handling validation Execute API testing using tools such as Postman, Swagger, ReadyAPI, or SOAP UI Contribute to API and frontend test automation initiatives (Playwright preferred) Create and manage automated test jobs and campaigns using Jenkins or Microsoft Azure tools Produce detailed QA reports and communicate progress clearly to stakeholders Continuously improve QA methodologies and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams
The Ideal Candidate
Experience & Background
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT (or equivalent professional experience) Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Tester At least 2 years of hands-on experience with API integrations (REST, SOAP) At least 2 years of experience with relational databases
Technical Expertise
Strong command of SQL Server and/or Oracle Experience with Cosmos DB is a plus Solid knowledge of SDLC and structured testing methodologies Proficiency with tools such as ReadyAPI, Swagger, Postman, Jira/Xray, Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins Experience in API test automation and frontend automation (Playwright preferred)
