Full Description
Altoros is seeking a proactive and experienced Mobile QA Specialist to join our dynamic team for a fast-paced, high-impact project. This role is crucial and requires involvement from the project's initial kickoff to ensure the development of a robust and high-quality mobile application.
The ideal candidate will possess strong manual and API testing skills, with a focus on comprehensive hands-on quality assurance across both iOS and Android platforms.
Responsibilities
Project Integration: Work closely with the Mobile Engineer and Designer from the project kickoff to build foundational context and contribute to the definition of quality standards and testing strategies
Manual Mobile Testing: Execute comprehensive manual testing on native iOS and Android applications to identify, document, and track defects, usability issues, and performance bottlenecks
API Testing: Perform thorough API testing to validate data integrity, functionality, security, and performance of back-end services supporting the mobile application
Test Case Review and Collaboration: Review and contribute to test cases written by engineers (covering unit, integration, and end-to-end tests) to ensure comprehensive test coverage
Documentation and Reporting: Document detailed bug reports, testing results, and test matrices. Communicate findings clearly and concisely to the development team and project stakeholders
Continuous Quality Assurance: Maintain a consistently high level of engagement and workload throughout the project lifecycle to meet tight timelines and quality objectives
Hardware Management: Utilize and manage testing on provided physical devices (minimum one iOS and one Android required) and leverage shared resources like BrowserStack for broader device coverage
Future Automation: Be prepared for potential light test automation activities in the future, although the primary initial focus is on strong manual and API testing
Requirements
Experience Level: Mid-level to Senior-level experience
Mobile Testing: Proven, hands-on experience in quality assurance for native mobile applications (iOS and Android)
API Testing: Solid experience in testing RESTful APIs or similar backend services using tools like Postman
