Role and Responsibilities
Test Engineer
Develop detailed test plans and procedures based on product specifications (electrical, thermal, safety, reliability).
Design and build test fixtures, harnesses, and automated test systems (using LabVIEW, Python, or other platforms) for both R&D validation and production lines.
Perform rigorous testing including environmental stress testing (HALT/HASS), EMI/EMC pre-compliance, safety agency (UL, CE, TUV) support, and lifecycle testing.
Analyze test data, identify failures, and collaborate with R&D and Quality teams to root cause and resolve issues.
Support the transition of products from NPI (New Product Introduction) to mass production by developing and optimizing production test strategies.
Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure measurement accuracy.
Product Engineer -
Manage the New Product Introduction (NPI) process, overseeing prototype builds (EVT/DVT/PVT) and resolving any design-for-manufacturability (DFM) or design-for-test (DFT) issues.
Create and maintain all product documentation: BOMs, schematics, assembly drawings, and manufacturing instructions.
Drive cost reduction and yield improvement initiatives through component engineering, process optimization, and design revisions (ECOs).
Provide sustaining engineering support for existing products, addressing component obsolescence, vendor changes, and field failure analysis.
Work closely with Test and Quality engineers to define critical-to-quality parameters and establish product qualification criteria.
