You will lead the design and implementation of comprehensive quality assurance strategies, embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle using a shift-left approach. This role requires strong expertise in automation, API validation, distributed systems, and CI/CD environments. You will collaborate closely with engineers, product owners, and DevOps teams to proactively prevent defects and ensure seamless user experiences across complex, high-volume systems.
You will act as a “Voice of Quality,” driving automation excellence, release confidence, and continuous improvement initiatives across teams.

We're dedicated to fostering an inclusive, purpose-driven, and innovative work environment where everyone belongs.
Responsibilities
In-Sprint Testing & Release Ownership
Design and implement comprehensive test strategies including functional, regression, smoke, integration, and end-to-end testing. Build and maintain automated E2E and integration tests prior to production releases. Participate in sprint planning and contribute to acceptance criteria and Definition of Done. Perform manual exploratory testing when required to validate feature readiness. Create, document, and troubleshoot defects with clear reproduction steps and impact assessment. Provide Go/No-Go recommendations on release quality. Perform post-deployment validation and production checkout activities.
Automation & Framework Development
Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated testing frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar). Automate complex user workflows and distributed system validations. Improve and maintain test pipelines within CI/CD environments (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.). Ensure automation scripts meet reliability, performance, and maintainability standards. Contribute to code reviews and architectural quality discussions.
API, Performance & Systems Validation
Validate REST and GraphQL APIs to ensure reliability and data integrity across services. Execute performance and load testing initiatives for high-concurrency microservices (using tools such as JMeter, k6, Artillery, or similar). Test authentication layers, multi-tenant environments, and role/session management systems. Monitor quality metrics such as defect trends, response times, availability, and critical flow stability. Collaborate with engineering teams to analyze logs and troubleshoot system-level issues in Linux-based environments.
Quality Advocacy & Continuous Improvement
Lead shift-left initiatives to embed quality early in the SDLC. Propose and implement improvements to testing tools, frameworks, and automation coverage. Act as the “Voice of Quality” within cross-functional teams. Contribute to organizational QA standards and automation best practices. Support DevOps practices aligned with frequent deployments and high system reliability.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in QA Engineering, SDET, or Quality Engineering roles. 3+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining automated testing frameworks. Strong experience with automation tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, or similar. Advanced knowledge of testing REST and GraphQL APIs. Experience integrating automated tests within CI/CD pipelines. Solid understanding of distributed systems and high-concurrency environments. Familiarity with Linux systems, networking fundamentals, and log analysis. Experience designing and executing complex test plans independently. Strong analytical mindset with a preventative approach to quality. Experience working in Agile/Lean software development environments.
Preferred
Experience testing distributed or real-time systems. Experience with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, k6, Artillery, etc.). Experience with mocking, stubbing, and virtualized test environments. Experience contributing to QA strategy at a team or organizational level. Experience working in DevOps-driven environments with strong observability practices. Relevant certifications such as ISTQB Advanced or similar.
