Role & seniority: Hardware Design Verification Engineering intern/co-op (student/intern, Canada-based)
Location & work type: Markham, Ontario, Canada; full-time (37.5 hrs/wk); onsite or hybrid; multiple term options (4 or 8 months) across Winter/Summer 2026
Stack/tools: C/C++, Python, Perl, Shell; SQL (MySQL), PHP; Verilog/SystemVerilog/UVM; Linux/Unix/Windows; digital design, HDL; test platforms, hardware/software integration
Collaborate with senior engineers to build and execute performance verification test plans, simulation test cases, and models
Write and maintain scripts for resource tracking and test/regression flows; support debugging and improvement of test cases/models
Build test platforms, perform system-level testing, and conduct production validation of hardware/software integrations
Enrolled in a Canadian university with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or related field
Proficiency in C/C++, Python, Perl; Verilog/SystemVerilog; Linux/Unix/Windows development
Understanding of digital systems, computer organization, HDL fundamentals, and logic design
Experience with PC hardware assembly, OS/drivers setup, basic networking
Knowledge of UVM, CPU/APU concepts, analog/digital transistor behavior, and system-level hardware/software design

Onsite/Hybrid: This role requires the student to work full time 37.5 hrs a week, either in a hybrid or onsite work structure throughout the duration of the co-op/intern term.
