Role & seniority: Full-Time Test Proctor; acts as primary subject-matter expert on the testing floor; lead resource for test administration without formal supervisory duties.
Stack/tools: Administers exams from Pearson Vue, Certiport, ALEKS, ACCUPLACER, PSI, ATI; maintains active certifications for administered exams; uses exam software launch procedures, electronic databases, word processing; supports remote proctoring; CCTV/camera monitoring; coordinates ADA accommodations.
Proctor exams and monitor candidate activity to ensure integrity; administer secure check-in/check-out; close center with proper security.
Make independent judgments on testing irregularities or center operations in Coordinator/Director’s absence.
Enter test scores accurately; troubleshoot equipment/software with IT and Facilities; liaise with Disability Resource Center for accommodations.

Familiarity with FERPA and Id
Under the guidance of the Testing Center Coordinator, the Full-Time Test Proctor serves as a lead resource for test administration within the CEI Testing Center. This role assists the Testing Center Coordinator in maintaining a secure and professional testing environment and is expected to possess the highest level of knowledge regarding testing procedures and software.
While this is not a supervisory role, this individual must be capable of acting as the primary subject matter expert on the testing floor and making independent decisions regarding testing irregularities or center operations when the Associate Director or Coordinator are unavailable.
Shifts will be 11: 00-8:00 PM Monday through Friday with a one hour lunch. Occasionally availability on Saturdays will be necessary.

Test Administration & Center Operations
Administer exams from various partners, including Pearson Vue, Certiport, ALEKS, ACCUPLACER, PSI, ATI, and future exam providers. Possess and maintain active certifications for all exams administered in the testing center; serve as the technical expert on exam software and launch procedures. Make independent judgment calls regarding testing floor issues or irregularities when the Coordinator or Director are unavailable. Proctor exams by actively monitoring candidate activity via physical observation and camera systems to ensure academic integrity. Perform secure check-in/check-out processes for candidates, verifying identification and eligibility. Close the Testing Center, ensuring all physical and digital security measures are engaged. Coordinate with the Disability Resource Center to ensure proper ADA accommodations are correctly implemented for individual test-takers. Accurately enter test scores into appropriate databases as required.
Support & Maintenance
Collaborate with IT and Facilities to troubleshoot immediate testing equipment or software errors. Answer Testing Center phone and email inquiries with a high degree of professionalism and accuracy. Support the process of remote proctoring for exams taken from off-campus locations. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Education: Associate’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Experience
One (1) year of experience with testing, accommodative testing, or proctoring in a post-secondary environment. Demonstrated proficiency in electronic databases, word processing, and testing software.
Incumbent must reside in Idaho (Currently CEI doesn’t sponsor H-1B Visas).
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Current certifications with major testing vendors (e.g., Pearson Vue Administrator). Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines. Knowledge of Idaho post-secondary education policies, FERPA regulations, and computer applications. Bilingual (Spanish).
Physical Demands And Work Environment
Sitting, standing or combination, walking, keyboarding, reaching overhead, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, gross manipulations (involves hands), squatting, stooping. Employees work indoors and are protected from weather and/or contaminants, but not, necessarily, occasional temperature changes.
On-site work is essential and regular predictable attendance is required. Employees may be required to work at occasional events and handle tasks outside of regular working hours.
Background Investigations
Employment at College of Eastern Idaho will be contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background investigation and may require a credit and/or motor vehicle background investigation depending on the position. Please refer to Policy 225: Background Checks
