Role & seniority: Software Quality Engineer 1 (contract) based in Seattle, WA; onsite.
Stack/tools: Python (required); Swift (bonus); test planning/design/case authoring; manual testing; test automation frameworks; shell scripting; Xcode; familiarity with logging/analytics/monitoring; AI/product testing and dataset metrics.

Job Summary
We are seeking a Software Quality Engineer 1 with strong experience in software integration testing, automated testing, and quality engineering. This role focuses on test automation, Data-driven Testing, data evaluations, test design, and cross-functional collaboration across global teams.
Key Responsibilities
Perform software integration testing, functional testing, and test automation Analyze and diagnose test failures, defects, and quality issues Escalate and report key quality issues, driving root-cause analysis and resolution Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and automation frameworks
Minimum Requirements
2+ years of professional experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test or Software Quality Engineer. Experience programming or scripting in Python
Bonus: Experience with Swift Hands-on experience with test planning, test design, test case authoring, manual testing, and using test automation frameworks Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in AI product testing, dataset collection, and metrics reporting Ability to write shell scripts and familiarity with Xcode Ability to modify existing iOS applications or automation code Strong ability to analyze and identify root causes in multi-tiered, client–server environments Knowledge of logging systems, analytics tools, or monitoring systems Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Self-motivated, curious, proactive, and focused on delivering high-quality results Experience with virtual assistants, voice platforms, or conversational technologies is a plus
