CloudMarc | Mobile Quality Engineer (Mobile QE)

Location: Melbourne (Hybrid)

Work Type: Full-time or Contract

Onsite Requirement: Minimum 3 days per week in the office

The Role We’re looking for a Mobile Quality Engineer (Mobile QE) to join our Melbourne team. You’ll work across iOS and Android applications, contributing to both manual and automated testing, and helping drive quality across fast-paced, agile delivery environments.

This role suits someone who is hands-on, analytical, and confident collaborating with engineers, product, and delivery stakeholders to design, execute, and automate high-value mobile test coverage.

Key Responsibilities Test mobile applications across iOS and Android (manual + automation) in agile delivery teams Analyse requirements and translate them into strong test scenarios and coverage Identify high-value functional tests for automation and contribute to framework uplift, scripting, and maintenance Build and maintain automation using Appium (Android + iOS) and Selenium Validate APIs and services supporting mobile apps (REST, payload validation) Work in CI/CD and Continuous Testing environments and support release confidence Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and drive continuous improvement Provide clear test reporting, defect management, and stakeholder updates

Skills & Experience (Required) 6+ years overall experience in testing with strong mobile app testing focus Minimum 3 years onshore experience Strong experience testing iOS + Android apps across manual and automated testing

Hands-on automation experience with

• Appium (Java)
• Selenium
• REST Assured (or equivalent API testing capability)
• Programming/scripting experience in Java (and exposure to JavaScript is desirable)
• Strong understanding of Agile ways of working and modern delivery practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to think critically and propose solutions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; confident working with stakeholders

Tools / Technical Capability (Highly Regarded)

Mobile tooling/knowledge: XCTest, Espresso Testing in high-traffic / eCommerce or complex customer-facing platforms Experience with physical devices and device farms such as BrowserStack, Sauce Labs, LambdaTest Working with XML / JSON, validating content/data feeds, and consuming REST APIs Strong experience in a Continuous Testing / DevOps environment Azure DevOps experience (boards, pipelines, test management integration)
