Role: Test Engineer / Senior Test Engineer (Cloud)

Salary: £50,000 - £80,000 (DOE)

Location: London (Hybrid; 2 days per week onsite

Clearance: Active SC / DV clearance is highly preferred, though we will consider those eligible for clearance.

We are partnering with a scaling technology consultancy currently expanding its Cloud Platform team to support high-impact projects across the public sector.

Responsibilities

Cloud Focus: Leading the quality engineering direction within an AWS-focused cloud platform setting.

Strategic Leadership: Working with a small team of QEs to craft and deliver a strategy that shifts quality left through DevSecOps processes.

Technical Oversight: Proactively contributing to decisions on tooling and leading the implementation of test code.

Collaboration: Partnering with DevOps, Engineering, and Architecture teams to ensure quality is embedded by default.

Mentorship: Coaching and teaching junior team members to support strategic approaches and skill development.

Technical Skillset Required

Containerization: Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker.

Infrastructure: Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with a focus on testability and security.

Automation: Experienced in implementing QAT strategies for large-scale projects that map to modern CI/CD pipelines.

Code Quality: Experienced in writing and reviewing high-quality, repeatable test code (Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python).
