Overview The Associate QA Engineer is an entry-level individual contributor role designed for recent graduates or professionals with up to 3 years of experience. The position involves learning and applying fundamental quality assurance concepts, tools, and practices under close supervision. This role requires adherence to established procedures and detailed instructions, with limited scope for independent decision-making or innovation. Principal Responsibilities Contribute, as part of a QA team, to the organizational goal of providing extremely high-quality, robust software products. Design and run appropriate automated test cases through all software lifecycle stages. Design, maintain, and utilize automation test frameworks. Work with the testing team members to review automated test execution issues to determine cause, corrective action, or defect reporting for the product. Translate approved manual test cases, modules, and flows as automation requirements to deliver the specified automation scripts. Interact with the QA test team and other groups to identify, create, and maintain test data to execute test cases. Support the triage and identification of corrective action for test execution issues deemed automation script failures rather than product failures and resolve fundamental issues. Report progress and issues to management and participate in automation team status meetings as required. Participate in reviewing new manual testing artifacts to assist the functional testing team members in delivering quality test scenarios ready to be automated. As an automation engineer, participate in the code reviews for team members and provide feedback to support the automation standards and guidelines. Position Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience). 1-3 years of software quality assurance from a functional testing perspective focused on how users use systems.
