We are looking for a QA with hands-on experience in Point of Sale (POS) testing to ensure reliable, secure, and seamless retail/restaurant transactions. The role involves validating POS functionality, integrations, and performance across hardware, software, and payment systems
POS (Retail and Payment) domain knowledge
H/W and peripheral testing experience
Integration testing and Strong communication
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for POS systems.
Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing of POS applications.
Test POS hardware and peripherals (printers, cash drawers, barcode scanners, payment terminals, etc.).
Validate integrations with payment gateways, inventory systems, loyalty/rewards, and back-office applications.
Conduct end-to-end transaction testing (cash, credit/debit, mobile wallets, discounts, returns, voids, etc.).
Log defects, track resolution, and perform retesting.
Support automation of POS test scenarios where applicable.
Ensure testing aligns with compliance standards
Provide detailed test reports and recommend improvements.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
6+ years of experience in manual or automation testing of POS or retail applications.
Knowledge of POS solutions (e.g., NCR, Oracle Micros,etc).
Strong understanding of retail/restaurant transaction flows.
Familiarity with testing peripherals, network connectivity, and offline/online modes.
Experience with Test/defect management tools (e.g., JIRA,Testrail).
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience with test automation frameworks.
Exposure to API testing for POS integrations.
Familiarity with databases (SQL queries for backend validation)
