Role Title: POS - Manual QA/Tester

Location: Seattle WA Fulltime and onsite

Primary Skills: POS testing, Retail Testing, Agile, Automation Testing, Test Management tools

Secondary Skills: Azure and DB Testing

We are looking for a QA with hands-on experience in Point of Sale (POS) testing to ensure reliable, secure, and seamless retail/restaurant transactions. The role involves validating POS functionality, integrations, and performance across hardware, software, and payment systems

Must have Skills

• POS (Retail and Payment) domain knowledge

• H/W and peripheral testing experience

• Integration testing and Strong communication

• Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for POS systems.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing of POS applications.

• Test POS hardware and peripherals (printers, cash drawers, barcode scanners, payment terminals, etc.).

• Validate integrations with payment gateways, inventory systems, loyalty/rewards, and back-office applications.

• Conduct end-to-end transaction testing (cash, credit/debit, mobile wallets, discounts, returns, voids, etc.).

• Log defects, track resolution, and perform retesting.

• Support automation of POS test scenarios where applicable.

• Ensure testing aligns with compliance standards

• Provide detailed test reports and recommend improvements.

• Qualifications & Preferred Skills

• 6+ years of experience in manual or automation testing of POS or retail applications.

• Knowledge of POS solutions (e.g., NCR, Oracle Micros,etc).

• Strong understanding of retail/restaurant transaction flows.

• Familiarity with testing peripherals, network connectivity, and offline/online modes.

• Experience with Test/defect management tools (e.g., JIRA,Testrail).

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
