Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Performance Test Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software testing, with a particular emphasis on API Testing, Functional Testing, and Automation Testing. The candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software applications throughout the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for API, functional, and automation testing. Conduct thorough API testing to validate the functionality, reliability, and performance of web services. Collaborate with development teams to identify and resolve defects in a timely manner. Utilize automation tools to enhance testing efficiency and coverage. Participate in requirement analysis and design reviews to ensure testability of requirements. Monitor and report on testing progress, results, and defect metrics. Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes and methodologies. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior testing team members.
Mandatory Skills
Strong expertise in API Testing, including tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar. Proficient in Functional Testing methodologies and best practices. Experience with Automation Testing frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, JUnit, or TestNG. In-depth knowledge of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and its phases. Ability to analyze complex requirements and translate them into effective test cases. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile teams. Experience with version control systems such as Git. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) are a plus.
