A leading financial organization is seeking a Principal Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to drive enterprise-level integration and automation testing initiatives across mission-critical platforms.
This is a senior individual contributor role responsible for shaping integration testing strategy, building scalable automation capabilities, and ensuring quality across distributed, data-intensive systems.
The Opportunity The successful candidate will lead program-level integration testing across complex applications that support risk, transaction processing, and core financial workflows. This role partners closely with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless releases and high system reliability.
The position combines hands-on automation engineering with strategic quality leadership.
Key Responsibilities Define and implement end-to-end integration testing strategy across multiple interconnected systems Design and build scalable automation frameworks (UI, API, and data layers) Develop automated validation for high-volume data processing and reconciliation workflows Lead regression and release validation activities across environments Partner with product and engineering teams to validate new features and platform enhancements Oversee defect lifecycle management and quality metrics reporting Support event-driven and message-based architecture testing Drive continuous improvement of automation, tooling, and testing standards Provide subject matter expertise in integrated system validation within regulated environments
