Role & seniority: QA Engineer (backend), 3+ years of QA experience focused on backend testing
Stack/tools: Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud; Redis, Kafka, AWS RDS (or relational DBs); API testing (Postman, RestAssured); CI/CD; automation frameworks/scripts
Design, develop, and execute test plans and cases for backend services and distributed systems
Develop/maintain automated testing frameworks; perform API, integration, regression, and performance testing
Conduct white-box testing, identify/track defects, and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolution; participate in design reviews; ensure middleware (cache, messaging, databases) stability
3+ years QA with strong backend testing; solid Java proficiency; deep knowledge of Spring Boot/Spring Cloud
Experience with Redis, Kafka, AWS RDS or similar DBs
White-box testing, unit test reviews, API testing (Postman, RestAssured); familiarity with CI/CD and automated testing integration; strong communication
Performance testing experience; automation build-up; proficiency with SVN or Git

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for backend services and distributed systems Perform white-box testing based on system architecture, source code, and design documents Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and scripts Conduct API testing, integration testing, regression testing, and performance testing Validate microservices-based systems built with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud Identify, document, and track defects, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution Participate in system design reviews and provide feedback from a quality assurance perspective Ensure system stability across middleware components such as cache, messaging systems, and databases Improve testing processes, tools, and CI/CD integration
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science or related field 3+ years of QA experience, with strong backend testing expertise Solid foundation in Java, with the ability to read and understand complex backend code Extensive experience with Spring Boot and Spring Cloud architecture Hands-on experience with common middleware and infrastructure components, including: Redis, Kafka, AWS RDS (or other relational databases) Strong experience in white-box testing, including unit test review and code-level validation Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured) Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing integration Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience on performance testing is a plus. Experience with automation build up.
Skilled use of at least one source code management tool: SVN, Git, etc.
