Job Title: Test Engineer
Department: CIB 2S
About Business line/Function: BANKING SERVICES
Position Purpose
The role will report to the Test Manager and will be primarily responsible for
Ø Analyse new requirements/changes (functional) from a testing perspective
Ø Identify test scenarios and create test cases
Ø Create the test data for integration testing
Ø Carry out integrated system testing - manual testing
Ø Familiarize on automation and execution of tests
The position requires working in a virtual team and international environment and is multidisciplinary in nature. It involves coordination with other locations and divisions of BNP Paribas as necessary. It is important that the candidate should have strong financial products knowledge along with high analytical skills and attention to details.
Responsibilities
Direct Responsibilities
Design And Create Test Plan
Integrate and assimilate the specifications provided by BA (Business Analyst). Write the test plan which will prove that the programs fulfil the required functions.
Submit The Test Plan To BA For Review
Communicate and follow-up with the BA for validation. Integrate the remarks, and up-date the test plan.
Prepare The Test Environment
Create necessary tests data, in collaboration with development and BA team.
Execute The Test Plan
Execute the tests defined in the test plan. Update the Acceptance report and the defects database. if any problem, contact the relevant development team and BA for confirmation.
Agile
Sprint Review Meeting, Showcase User Story to Stakeholders, Sprint Retrospective.
Automation
Execution of Automation scripts, report analysis & investigation in case of failure.
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Knowledge in financial services industry specifically into CAPITAL MARKET (Security Services). End-to-End business knowledge on Corporate Action Flow. Added advantage with Hands on in Corporate Action. Good understanding of software development life cycle and testing methodologies. Added advantage with Automation experience.
