About The Role
HARMAN’s diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offers interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices. As a member of our team, your primary role will be to perform System Integration and Test of high-end automotive infotainment systems. Execute and write automated regression test. Should have some familiarity with Audio/Video, Navigation, Bluetooth, Voice Recognition, and iPod technologies.
What You Will Do
Implement and maintain test scripts to ensure automated test applies to all programs. Design and implement software test libraries using Python. Improve the overall test infrastructure. Perform software Verification and Validation. Execute tests and provide accurate analysis and reporting of test results. Perform exploratory testing (Manual). Assist customers or developers to find/debug issues. Perform daily overnight automated regression test to stress test system. Maintain/update defects database with a defect tracking tool. Maintain and set up validation vehicles. Support customer demo and test drive event.
What You Need To Be Successful
Hands-on programming experience in one or more languages such as C, C++, or Python, with the ability to write, debug, and test software modules. Basic understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, hardware–software interaction, and real‑time system concepts. Strong passion for technology and innovation, with eagerness to learn new tools, frameworks, and engineering practices. Ability to analyze technical problems, read schematics or documentation, and collaborate with senior engineers on system-level design and integration. Good to have foundational knowledge of AI/ML concepts, model development basics, or experience with libraries such as NumPy, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn.
What Makes You Eligible
Must be currently enrolled in a related Bachelor's Degree program or higher at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA Be willing to work in an office in Novi, Michigan. Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work. Must possess unrestricted work authorization. Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment Must provide full work availability from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026 and be able to work 40 hours per week
