The successful candidate will issue recommendations and have influence on the system verification and validation of the Telesat Lightspeed system. \n
Design and execute tests validating: Feeder/User link coverage and elevation limits, Spectrum assignment by UT/LS location, Link behavior under fading, interference, and outage conditions Serve as Link Layer SME for DVB‑S2X, DVB‑RCS2, and Ka‑band link operation.
Perform hands‑on link testing in the LEO Lab, including: Channel emulation, Link impairments, Carrier aggregation and spectrum flexibility Configure and operate satellite link emulators, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and traffic generators. Ensure product under test meets technical, functional, performance and business requirements. Work closely with antenna vendors, modem teams, and RF engineers to validate end‑to‑end link behavior. Support OTA test planning and execution for feeder and user links. Support System Acceptance Planning activities for the LEOP and IOT. Work with other segments like DevOps, Ground Systems, Satellite and foster a collaborative and innovative environment
B. Sc. in Electrical, Computer or System Engineering and a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in satellite communications
