What You Will Do *
Validation of functional testing results including electrical and mechanical systems of each product line. Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing test issues by collaborating with quality assurance, design, and operations teams, often using root cause analysis methods. Perform verifications of manufacturing processes and test equipment to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and regulatory requirements. Train and mentor technicians on testing methodologies and equipment use. Analyze test data and product/process performance metrics to identify defects, help to improve first pass yield, and recommend corrective actions. Continuous improvement in testing process. Support cost reduction initiatives, yield improvements, and enhancements in efficiency and capacity within the assigned processes to align with business objectives. Initial testing set-up for new product or program including instructions, equipment, and other documentation. Monitor First Pass Yield. Support Customer Quality for customer inquiries and complaints related to testing. Promote safety practices and the 5S methodology. Adheres to and participates in all EHS practices and standards across the site, including but not limited to proactive reporting of observed hazards and recommendations to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self and others.
Qualifications You Must Have *
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Proven experience as a Test Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of testing techniques, quality standards, and quality management systems. Hands-on experience with test equipment, test automation, and data analysis tools. Proficient in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem-solving. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, design for manufacturability (DFM), and lean manufacturing principles. Excellent communication skills to present findings and collaborate across teams. Ability to read and interpret engineering documentation, schematics, and specifications.
