Réalta Technologies are searching for an Automation Engineer to support our client's pharmaceutical production facility in Cork.
The ideal candidate will have 5 years' experience as an Automation Engineer with Foxboro or other DCS, preferably in the Life Sciences industry.
Responsibilities
Provide daily support for automation systems within the Chemical API production facility. Ensure optimal performance and reliability of automation systems through regular monitoring and maintenance. Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to automation systems promptly to minimise production downtime. Perform updates and modifications to automation system designs and code to improve functionality and efficiency. Ensure that all updates are thoroughly tested and documented. Review and understand design documentation, ensuring that all automation code aligns with the specified requirements. Maintain accurate records of system changes and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science, or a related field. 5 years of experience in automation engineering, preferably within a pharmaceutical or biotechnology environment. Experience with Foxboro DCS or other (DeltaV, 800xA, PCS7). Proficiency in PLC programming, HMI development and SCADA systems. Strong understanding of automation design principles, process control and instrumentation. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Effective communication skills, with the ability to understand and interpret design documents and relate them to code.
