Must-have skills

Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience
Basic understanding of STLC/SDLC; manual testing concepts; defect lifecycle
API testing concepts (REST, HTTP methods, status codes)
Proficiency with Postman and Jira (or similar)
Basic SQL queries; understanding of Agile/Scrum
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Exposure to automation tools (Playwright/Selenium/Cypress) and basic programming (JavaScript/Java/Python)

Nice-to-haves

Experience with Git or other version control
Knowledge of performance testing basics (e.g., JMeter)

Full Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Junior QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality through manual and basic automation testing, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers and product teams to deliver high-quality software.

Key Responsibilities

● Understand product requirements, business workflows, and acceptance criteria.
● Create and execute test scenarios, test cases, and test data based on requirements.
● Perform manual testing for web and/or mobile applications.
● Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or similar.
● Identify, document, and track bugs using defect tracking tools.
● Perform functional, regression, integration, and smoke testing.
● Validate UI, usability, and user workflows.
● Assist in maintaining and executing automated test scripts (if applicable).
● Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA team members to resolve
issues.
● Ensure timely reporting of testing status and quality metrics.
● Writing and executing basic automation scripts.

Required Skills & Qualifications

● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
● Basic understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and SDLC.
● Knowledge of manual testing concepts and defect lifecycle.
● Understanding of API testing concepts (REST APIs, HTTP methods, status codes).

● Familiarity with testing tools such as

● Basic knowledge of databases and SQL queries.
● Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodology.
