Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer with strong manual testing expertise to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for identifying issues, excellent analytical abilities, and a solid foundation in programming fundamentals.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute comprehensive manual test cases and test scenarios based on software requirements and specifications
Perform thorough functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing across web and mobile applications
Identify, document, and track software defects using bug tracking tools, ensuring clear reproduction steps and detailed documentation
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle
Conduct root cause analysis of defects and work with development teams to verify fixes
Create and maintain test documentation including test plans, test cases, and test reports
Participate in requirement reviews and design discussions to provide QA perspective early in the development process
Verify data integrity and perform database validation when required
Conduct exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and potential issues not covered by scripted tests
Technical Skills
Strong manual testing expertise with proven experience in creating and executing detailed test cases
Basic programming knowledge in at least one of the following: Java, JavaScript, or Python
Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, QA processes, and best practices
Experience with bug tracking and JIRA
Familiarity with different testing types: functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and integration testing
Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing lifecycle (STLC)
Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills
Strong analytical skills with ability to understand complex systems and identify potential problem areas
