This is the job In Buenos Aires within the Financial Services and Investment Technology domain, we are actively seeking a professional to strengthen our team dedicated to quality assurance and performance optimization. You'll be joining the Investments Tribe where you'll play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of APIs and services. This long-term position focuses primarily on performance testing and API validation, with opportunities to grow into test automation as the role evolves.
This is you At least 3 years of experience in similar Quality Engineering or Performance Testing roles. Strong knowledge of performance testing methodologies, preferably with JMeter and/or k6. Proven experience in API and web service testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI. Basic to intermediate knowledge of databases and ability to perform data validation queries. Technical profile with genuine interest in programming and automation. Strong analytical skills with ability to identify bottlenecks and performance issues. Autonomy to research, learn, and propose improvements independently. Good communication skills and proven ability to work effectively in teams. Proactive and curious mindset with eagerness to learn new technologies.
This is your role Design, execute, and analyze comprehensive performance tests including load, stress, and endurance testing. Use tools such as JMeter and/or k6 to create realistic test scenarios and validate system behavior under various conditions. Execute functional and non-functional testing on REST APIs to ensure quality and reliability. Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and report key metrics to stakeholders. Maintain ongoing interaction with development and architecture teams to ensure alignment on quality standards. Perform data validation through database queries to ensure data integrity and correctness. Document test plans, test cases, and results according to quality standards. Provide detailed performance reports with actionable insights and recommendations. Participate in automated testing initiatives, either currently or as the role evolves toward automation. Research and propose improvements to testing strategies, tools, and processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective test strategies. Monitor and track defects, working with development teams to ensure timely resolution. Stay current with emerging testing tools, methodologies, and best practices.
