Manual Test Engineer - (6 months FTC, likely to be extended )

The Role The System Test Engineer will work within a test team who are responsible for all aspects of testing on integrated systems and in collaboration with development teams, design architects, product owners, project managers and occasionally, the end users

How to make an impact ● Perform static testing of project/test documents/requirements ● Write test scenarios and preparing test cases ● Deploy systems for test execution ● Execute test cases ● Ensure that Arrive’s testing standards are adhered to throughout the testing process ● Prepare test plans, test status reports and test outcome reports ● Provide feedback to the development/project delivery teams ● Schedule test activities ● Maintain and manage test equipment/test environments ● Maintain generic test documentation and offer guidance on any bespoke test documentation ●Collaborate with peers in Development, Program Management and Design teams ● Contribute to a service minded and customer centric approach Your background Manual testing experience of system, end to end and user-acceptance testing with a proficiency to generate test scenarios, test cases and test plans, combined with great communication skills to provide feedback to the test/project/development teams.

● Experience of System and/or Software testing, tools and practices. ● ISTQB Foundation certification (or equivalent)

Ideally you will have one or more of the following

SQL experience.
Working knowledge of networking and associated protocols.
Experience in V-Model and Agile test methodologies.
Knowledge of software development and test processes and best practices.
Analytical problem solving and passion for quality together with excellent testing aptitude.
Awareness of automated tests.
Knowledge/experience of config management.
Knowledge of Testrail.
Knowledge of Jira.
Fault finding and diagnostic skills.
Any additional qualifications in computing, engineering, science or testing fields would be beneficial, e.g Network Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics and Quality Assurance.
