Metal Toad is a fully remote company, offering all team members the ability to work from home. For this opportunity, the selected candidate must be available to work Monday to Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Pacific Time (PST).

Compensation will be made in Brazilian Reais (R$), in accordance with the local currency of the country where the position is located. Job Description
As a QA Engineer, you will ensure high standards of quality and own all QA offerings and services by leading the quality initiatives and ensuring their marketability. You will escalate risks and known issues promptly and frequently, deliver quality releases to our clients, and collaborate with teams to guarantee the success of the project.
RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with development team, Project Managers, and Technical Consultants to create and implement testing plan, mitigate bugs, and maintain project standards Write and maintain automated tests for user stories and features throughout a project’s life cycle Manual QA of developer work Proactively communicate risks and issues as they become known, to both clients and team Work independently, and have ownership over testing decisions and results Advocate for solutions, and determine bugs’ severity Ability to thrive working with Agile / SCRUM methodologies Shares knowledge with company and community through blogging and/or meetups Ensures tests adhere to accepted best practice guidelines, whether code-specific or framework-specific
EXPERTISE Researches new techniques, technologies, and ideas Shares knowledge with development team, helping them understand testing strategies and general concepts Makes recommendations and collaborates with colleagues (QA Engineers, Director of Technology)
