Senior Quality Engineer, Mobile
Description
Responsibilities
Collaborate with Product, Design, and Development teams to understand requirements and develop comprehensive test plans and cases. Execute functional and automated tests to verify accuracy, completeness, and reliability. Help develop and enhance UI automation frameworks using Espresso (Android) and XCUITest (iOS). Analyze requirements and assess technical feasibility for test automation. Integrate automated tests into CI pipelines to detect issues early in the development cycle. Participate in PR reviews, submit PRs, and help achieve full regression automation readiness. Develop and maintain robust, scalable, reusable automated test scripts across applications. Identify, document, and track defects, working closely with developers to ensure timely resolution and retesting. Enhance QA delivery and quality through test strategy definition, process improvements, and coordination with backend teams. Work with developers to inject testing earlier via mocking strategies. Prioritize competing tasks, manage multiple concurrent projects, and adapt to evolving priorities. Perform regression testing to confirm new enhancements do not impact existing functionalities. Continuously improve QA processes and contribute to best practice development.
Qualifications
At least 7 years of technical experience and a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. Hands-on testing experience with iOS and Android platforms using various manual and automated tools. Minimum of 3 years of mobile app automation experience with tools such as Monkey Talk, Selendroid, Appium, Katalon, etc. In-depth knowledge of functional, integration, regression, exploratory, end-to-end, compatibility, GUI, web services, and accessibility testing. Solid understanding of Swift, Kotlin, or similar programming languages. Strong programming and debugging abilities. Excellent API testing experience, utilizing Postman, IntelliJ HTTP Client, or similar tools. Proficiency in debugging tools like Charles Proxy, Splunk, Sentry, Console, or similar. Outstanding communication skills and collaborative spirit. Experience with the full software deployment lifecycle using Agile methodologies. Meticulous attention to detail and capability to excel in a fast-paced setting.
