VenueSumo is hiring a Software QAT to raise the quality bar across our POS, Back Office and Booking site products.

You will combine both manual and automation testing, work closely with engineers and support, and help ship reliable releases and clear documentation.

This is an onsite role located on the Gold Coast with our development team. What you’ll do Plan and execute manual testing across POS, Back Office and Booking site features Perform hardware testing with payment terminals and connected devices, including EFTPOS flows, card readers, printers, and tablets Test API integrations with 3rd party software using tools such as Postman Build and maintain automated end-to-end tests in Cypress Reproduce, triage, and track defects with clear steps, logs, and screenshots Collaborate with engineers on acceptance criteria, test plans, and regression checklists Contribute to help guides and draft concise, user-focused release notes Champion test data management and environment readiness What you’ll bring 5+ years in software testing or QA for web applications Proficiency with Cypress for UI test automation, including selectors, fixtures, and CI runs Strong manual testing skills and a nose for edge cases Clear written communication for bug reports, guides, and release notes Comfortable using browser dev tools, logs, and console output to investigate issues Nice to have Experience with POS systems, online booking platforms, payments or attractions/tourism industries Familiarity with Payment Processor integrations for online payments and payment terminals Knowledge of API testing Basic scripting (JavaScript/TypeScript) and CI pipelines Accessibility and responsive design testing on mobile devices Basic knowledge of SQL scripting for problem solving and validation
