Role & seniority: Project Planner / Senior Project Planner (5+ years in planning/engineering roles)
Stack/tools: Primavera P6, MS Project; familiarity with control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS)
Top 3 responsibilities

Develop, plan, and maintain detailed project schedules; monitor progress and prepare status reports, forecasts, and recovery plans

Identify critical paths, constraints, and risks; recommend mitigation strategies; support cost tracking, resource planning, and earned value analysis

Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction; liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams; assist with procurement registers, activity lists, and subcontractor selection; prepare test plans and progress reports
Must-have skills

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field

Minimum 5 years’ project planning/engineering experience

Proficiency in Primavera P6 and MS Project

Job Description
Develop, planning and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to gather input for planning activities. Monitor project progress and prepare status reports, forecasts, and recovery plans. Identify critical paths, constraints, and risks, and recommend mitigation strategies. Support cost tracking, resource planning, and earned value analysis. Support Project manager to prepare the procurement registers, activity list and subcontractor selection. Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal teams to resolve technical issues and prepare statement methods inspection Test Plans and Progress reports
Requirements
Must have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field. Must have a minimum of 5 years' experience in project planning and engineering roles. Must be proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Project. Have a strong understanding of control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS) Experience in Qatar Energy LNG projects will be a plus Experience in EPC or industrial automation projects.
