Role & seniority: Software Quality Engineer (Regular level); manual, component-level focus.
Stack/tools: Embedded Linux; Linux terminal tools (SSH, logs, system commands); Windows & Linux; JIRA; Confluence; basic Python-based automation (optional); lab hardware/test setups.
Manual testing and component validation: regression, exploratory, ad hoc; validate hardware-software interactions; re-test fixes.
Test design & documentation: derive coverage from requirements; create/maintain test scenarios, cases, and Confluence pages; align with risks and sprint goals.
Defect tracking & collaboration: log/reproduce/verify defects with evidence; collaborate with developers, automation engineers, and product owners.

Project description
Role: Software Quality Engineer (Regular level) with a strong focus on manual, component-level testing.
Product: Video Collaboration devices with embedded Linux operating system.
Core Activity: Validating individual components and subsystems, ensuring high quality, reliability, and usability.
Interaction: Hands-on role combining software validation with real hardware interaction.
Location Requirement: Hybrid model, requires on-site presence in Kraków. Open only to candidates based in Kraków.

Must have
A. Required:
Experience: 3-5 years in manual software testing, preferably at component or subsystem level.
Embedded Systems: Hands-on experience testing embedded systems or hardware-related products.
Linux: Strong working knowledge of Linux, including terminal usage and SSH. BASH scripting. Familiarity with embedded Linux debugging tools
Tools: Experience with JIRA for defect tracking and test execution.
Networking: Understanding of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, connectivity, basic diagnostics).
Methodology: Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams.
Documentation: Ability to create clear, structured test documentation.
Work Model: Willingness to work in a hybrid model with on-site presence in Kraków. B Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a component-quality mindset. Attention to detail and ownership of assigned components. Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
