Salary: $18 / hour
Role & seniority: Correctional substance abuse treatment counselor (staff level; operates under designated community team lead)
Location & work type: East Texas Treatment Facility, Henderson, Texas; full-time, Monday–Friday, 8-hour days
Stack/tools: Designs and implements treatment/assessment plans (CAP/CTP); conducts crisis intervention and suicide prevention; individual and group counseling; maintains inmate records, reports, and confidentiality; collaborates with psychiatric/social work/medical teams; uses evaluation tests and referrals to contract professionals
Design and implement CAP/CTP and conduct intensive/comprehensive interventions
Assume independent clinical responsibility for inmates, including crisis intervention and safety
Collaborate with supervisors and other professionals to maintain continuity of care and achieve therapeutic goals
Bachelor’s degree (CHEA/USDE accredited)
Four years of full-time substance abuse treatment experience
Current valid licensure/certification: LCDC-I (TX DSHS), CCJP-A, and/or LPA; maintain licensure/certification
Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record (unless waived)
Experience providing clinical supervision or guidance
Proficiency in group counseling and social skills development
Ability to present case recommendations and participate in program planning
Pay: $17.85 per hour
Work schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday 8-hour days
