Role & seniority: Product Development Automation Engineer; mid-senior level with ~5+ years of relevant experience.
Stack/tools: PLC programming; vision systems (Keyence, Cognex, Teledyne); RS232, Ethernet/IP, remote I/O; JAVA, Python, SQL, Visual Basic; Excel/Word/Access; data acquisition and control systems; various sensors (0-20mA, 4-20mA, 0-5VDC, 0-10VDC); validation documentation.
Specify, design, and manage control and data acquisition systems for new and existing production equipment.
Collaborate with automation integrators; track progress and rapidly resolve technical/program issues.
Develop robust high-volume manufacturing techniques; generate/maintain validation lifecycle documentation; perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
Must-have skills: Electrical/Controls engineering degree (or equivalent); 5+ years PLC/vision system troubleshooting in regulated medical manufacturing; experience with RS232, Ethernet/IP, remote I/O; proficiency with vision platforms; programming in JAVA/Python/SQL/Visual Basic; strong Excel/Office skills; experience with analog sensors (0-20mA, 4-20mA, 0-5V, 0-10V).
Nice-to-haves: Medical device manufacturing exposure; strong data/tools usage for process monitoring; experience with validation lifecycles and quality systems.
