LMI is seeking a Technology Test Engineer to lead the planning and execution of test and evaluation (T&E) projects for our DHS client. This role will be resonsible for testing a wide range of technologies that support first responder and homeland security missions. This is an on-site position in the New York City area and requires the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Responsibilities
Leads the planning and execution of testing activities to operationally assess commercially available technologies used for emergency response and homeland security missions (e.g., UAS, communications equipment, AI/ML enabled systems, etc.). Engages with customers to identify and interpret operational requirements to ascertain the type of examination required and the specific data to be obtained Coordinates work elements, facilities, equipment, and other resources for testing Develops test planning documentation, including test protocols, assessment plans and operational scenarios Manages projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards Executes testing (lab and field), data collection, and analysis Develops test reports outlining results, conclusions, and pertinent recommendations relative to the acceptability or application of the tested product/technology/systems
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering 3+ years of relevant engineering and technical experience (1 year with Master's degree) Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external customers Excellent organizational and time management skills Strong team player with customer-focused attitude Occasional travel required to various test sites Ability to pass a DHS background investigation and obtain a Secret clearance
The target salary range for this position is $103,000-$125,000.
