Role & seniority: Hands-on R&D workshop technician (engineering/technical student; entry to mid-level support role)
Stack/tools: Mechanical assembly, basic electronics, UAV prep; tools, layout optimization, safety processes; optional: soldering, 3D printing, CAD
Set up and continuously improve the R&D workshop (tools, layout, safety)
Support prototype builds and maintain/repair UAVs and test equipment
Assist with ground and flight tests, logistics for prototypes, parts, batteries, and tooling
Strong hands-on mindset; comfortable in a workshop environment
Reliable, careful, safety-aware; ownership and fast-learning attitude
Practical attitude toward hardware over theory; curious and pragmatic
Experience with drones/RC aircraft or motorsports
Basic soldering, 3D printing, or CAD skills
Driver’s license; prior workshop/lab/maker-space experience
What We’re Looking For
You support R&D where ideas become hardware. This is a hands-on role in the workshop and during tests, helping engineers build, modify, and prepare UAV prototypes. You keep the workshop running, support rapid iteration, and assist in ground and flight testing. This role has real responsibility and direct impact on how fast and well we develop hardware.

The day-to-day
Set up and continuously improve the R&D workshop (tools, layout, order, safety)
Support prototype builds (mechanical, basic electronics, assembly) Prepare, maintain, and repair UAVs and test equipment Support ground tests and flight tests, including outdoor test flights Help with logistics around prototypes, parts, batteries, and tooling Be the extra pair of hands engineers rely on to get things done
