The ideal candidate brings a strong passion for product quality and has a proven history of designing and executing thorough testing strategies. This role requires deep expertise in test automation, continuous integration and deployment, as well as regression testing, working closely with cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards and deliver reliable software solutions across web and mobile platforms.
The Senior QA Engineer plays a vital role in the software development lifecycle, contributing actively during requirements analysis and design phases to ensure that testing considerations align with business objectives. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with excellent problem-solving skills, who is motivated to improve existing testing processes continuously. Although this role does not involve team management, the candidate will mentor junior QA engineers and promote best practices within the team to foster quality improvement and efficiency in testing operations.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and execute detailed and effective test plans and test cases covering all facets of the product. Conduct comprehensive manual testing across web and mobile applications to identify defects and ensure product functionality meets requirements. Identify, document, and track software bugs meticulously throughout their lifecycle using bug tracking tools such as Jira or Bugzilla. Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to confirm product quality and resolve issues promptly. Participate actively in requirements analysis and design reviews to provide a QA perspective, ensuring testability and quality from the early stages. Mentor and guide junior QA team members on testing methodologies, best practices, and quality standards to enhance team capabilities. Continuously evaluate and refine testing processes, methodologies, and tools to improve efficiency, coverage, and effectiveness of QA efforts. Write clear and detailed test documentation including test cases, test plans, and test reports, supporting transparency and knowledge sharing.
