Position: Automation Engineer
Location: Toronto – Hybrid
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API/microservices applications. Implement continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using Jenkins and other DevOps tools. Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and automated deployments. Develop and maintain automation scripts in Java and/or Python. Integrate automation solutions with CI/CD and reporting tools for continuous quality tracking. Participate in code reviews, provide technical guidance, and enforce best practices in automation and DevOps. Troubleshoot automation failures, optimize scripts, and ensure reliability across environments. Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory standards in all automation workflows.
Required Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in test automation and DevOps engineering. Strong programming experience in Java and Python. Hands-on experience with UI and Mobile automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Appium). Expertise in API and Microservices automation using frameworks like RestAssured, Postman, or similar. Proven experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins (or similar tools). Strong understanding of version control (Git), containerization (Docker), and cloud deployment concepts. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and modern DevOps practices. Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively in hybrid environments.
