Position Overview
The Test Engineer will work closely with product development, applications, quality, and lab teams to successfully execute all aspects of required lab testing. This is an entry-level position that will prepare successful candidates for potential roles in New Product Development, Application Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Quality Engineering, or Technical Sales roles by gaining practical experience in the design, construction, application, and operation of commercial refrigeration systems.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
Building refrigeration systems Work with product engineers to assemble refrigeration systems per design specifications Responsible for all aspects of the build including assembly, brazing, and wiring Identify potential conflicts with the design and potential resolutions Serve as the first line of defense for manufacturing feasibility Assist in building customers samples and engineering prototypes as required Systems testing Prepare condensing units, unit cooler, and/or complete systems for testing Receive, interpret, and execute test requests Collect required data and provide summary of results as appropriate Become familiar with applicable test standards and agency requirements to successfully execute testing for performance, agency approvals, and compliance certifications Applications testing Prepare customer units for testing based on requirements Install the Tecumseh compressor, cu=condensing unit, or system into the customer end-use application Work with Application Engineering and Sales to understand customer requirements and testing required Collect required data and provide summary of results as appropriate Personal Qualifications
