Job Summary:The Software Quality Assurance (SQA) Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring software applications meet business and technical requirements through comprehensive testing, validation, and automation. Working closely with developers, SQA peers, and stakeholders, this role focuses on designing and executing test plans, documenting defects, and enhancing software quality across enterprise-level applications. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, automation tool expertise, and a keen attention to detail to support continuous software improvement.Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with development and project teams to design, develop, and document detailed test plans and test cases.
Execute manual and automated tests in alignment with project and organizational standards.
Review technical documentation and requirements to ensure test coverage and compliance with quality metrics.
Document, track, and report defects using the Enterprise Defect Tracking System, ensuring timely resolution.
Develop reusable test case templates and maintain regression and smoke test libraries.
Conduct diagnostic testing and troubleshooting for application/system issues and propose actionable solutions.
Participate in Agile team meetings, sprint planning, and review sessions to stay informed on updates and releases.
Create thorough documentation using Visio, Word, and Excel for audit and compliance.
Participate in software upgrade and release testing, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Present testing results and recommendations to IT and business stakeholders.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of IT experience with progressive responsibilities.
2+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, including automation exposure.
Proficiency with automation testing tools and frameworks.
