About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automation Test Engineer to lead the testing efforts for our cutting-edge project. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of data engineering and quality assurance, driving excellence in testing strategy, execution, and automation. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our data platform by leveraging modern tools and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test strategies and plans tailored to the project architecture. Lead and coordinate all phases of testing including functional, integration, and regression testing. Perform extensive API testing using Postman, ensuring thorough coverage and accurate validation. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python, focusing on efficiency and scalability. Track testing progress, manage defects, and report issues using Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira. Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to identify, document, and resolve issues. Provide clear and concise reporting on test results, quality metrics, and potential risks to project leadership. Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing processes, tools, and standards.

To Be Successful in This Role, Your Skills and Experience Should Include

Postman: Proven hands-on experience with Postman for API testing. High proficiency is strongly preferred.

Python: Solid experience with Python scripting. Intermediate proficiency is ideal to support automation and test development.

Azure DevOps (ADO) or Jira: Familiarity with either tool for test management, issue tracking, and reporting. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities in a fast-paced, agile environment.
