This position is on site in the greater Baltimore, MD Area. What You'll Get to Do: * Plan and execute the program lifecycle, including major program milestones / reviews (e.g., SRR, SFR, SDR, PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR, peer reviews, Pre-test reviews, Post Test Reviews, Pre-Ship reviews, Etc.)
Ensure system technical compliance with the program Statement of Work (SOW) and system requirements. Manage the vertical and horizontal technical integration throughout the product teams and program life cycle, collaborating across an entire portfolio of programs. Collect, manage, and report the program metrics and Technical Performance Measures (TPMs). Manage risk and opportunity and the production of core engineering work products and track the work products and associated program dependencies in the program schedule. Coordinate between the System Architect(s), Chief Engineer(s), Product Team Lead(s), program manager(s), and customers to ensure the integrity and executability of the program technical baseline. This position will serve on-site in the greater Baltimore, MD. This position is contingent upon Funding/Contract award, special access program and acquiring and maintaining the necessary US Government security clearance per customers' requirements prior to start. Basic Qualifications for Staff Systems Engineer - Integration & Test: * Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 10 years of experience or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle - Focus on SRR to CDR Demonstrated experience in systems development, integration, and test Demonstrated Requirements Management from Elicitation to Verification Demonstrated experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML/MBSE) Risk and Opportunity Management experience Experience leading technical teams This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen Current Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI and a Polygraph prior to start Preferred Qualifications for Staff Systems Engineer - Integration & Test: * Knowledge of Systems Engineering processing from generation of an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) to Work Product Breakdown into Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for the development of complex systems of systems Experience working with CAMEO or other similar MBSE management tools Master's degree or PhD in STEM or technical management Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements (e.g., UAF, DoDAF) Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally
Experience managing contracts of $10M+ Primary Level Salary Range: $171,000.00 - $256,400.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
