Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Onshore Performance Lead to oversee and drive performance testing, monitoring, and optimization activities across enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in performance engineering tools such as LoadRunner, Dynatrace, and Splunk, coupled with hands-on experience in Java, Python, JVM tuning, SQL optimization, and microservices-based architectures. This role requires close collaboration with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure applications meet performance, scalability, and reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end performance testing and engineering activities for critical applications. Design, develop, and execute performance test scripts and scenarios using LoadRunner (or equivalent tools). Analyze and interpret performance results, identify bottlenecks, and recommend tuning solutions. Utilize Dynatrace, Splunk, and other APM tools for monitoring application health, transaction tracing, and performance diagnostics. Perform JVM tuning, analysis, and SQL tuning to enhance system efficiency. Collaborate with development teams to optimize Java and Python applications for scalability and responsiveness. Review performance requirements and ensure non-functional testing aligns with business SLAs and KPIs. Partner with Azure Cloud teams to validate application performance in cloud environments and recommend infrastructure improvements. Contribute to capacity planning and performance forecasting efforts. Mentor junior engineers and establish best practices for performance testing and monitoring.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Proven experience in Performance Engineering / Testing, preferably in a lead role. Strong hands-on knowledge of LoadRunner, Dynatrace, and Splunk. Solid understanding of microservices architecture and API performance. Experience with Java and Python for performance analysis and scripting. Expertise in JVM tuning, thread dump / heap dump analysis, and SQL query optimization. Exposure to Azure Cloud services (App Services, AKS, Functions, etc.). Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of performance tests in DevOps workflows. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent field.
Good to Have
Knowledge of containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes). Experience with other performance tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling). Understanding of observability frameworks and log analysis pipelines. Exposure to AI-based performance analytics and predictive monitoring.
