Full Description
Purpose of the position The main purpose of this position is leading the introduction (NPI), debugging, and sustaining of complex automated manufacturing system. You will be responsible for the electrical and software stability of production equipment, including Robotics, PLCs, AOI system, and AGVs. You will not only directly troubleshoot controls issue, but also introduce latest technology to minimize downtime and optimize cycle time.
Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze the causes of failures: Use professional analysis techniques and tools to conduct a comprehensive and in-depth inspection and analysis of failed products, and determine the root causes of product failures, including design defects, material problems, manufacturing process deviations, environmental factors, etc. Automatic & Mechanical Equipment Introduction Participate early-stage Design for Manufacturability (DFM), equipment evaluation/design/development and DOE verification assembly process. Push EQ improvement to increase assembly yield and meet customer targets Automatic & Mechanical Equipment Installation & Debug Push vendor’s equipment setup/installation/debug at NPI. Analyze causes of equipment failures and promote resolution. Push EQ preventive improvement to reduce downtime & ensure production continuity.
Education and work experience Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing, background in automotive electronics, semiconductor, or precision assembly industries preferred. Experience in robotics, AGV, AOI, or related specialized fields is highly preferred. AI implementation experience in automation environments is preferred.
Working conditions This role is primarily based in a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing facility, requiring daily presence on the production floor to oversee processes, troubleshoot issues, and ensure operational efficiency. May require occasional weekend hours to support production deadlines, emergency repairs, or project implementations.
Skills
- Proficient in Mitsubishi/Omron/Siemens PLC programming and commissioning, experience in parameter configuration and troubleshooting of VFDs and servo drives.
- Able to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams; familiar with low-voltage power distribution systems.
